Overview

The core of our work is with young people, many of whom come from challenging backgrounds; exclusion, homelessness, addictions or those in Local Authority Care. Columba 1400 recognises the tough realities and restrictive environments in which many young people operate and the limited employment opportunities they face.

As we work in capacity-building partnerships with schools, secondary support units, residential units, young carers services, social work services and voluntary organisations, we also work with the people who can influence young people’s lives - teachers, parents, carers, support workers, head teachers and have an acclaimed corporate programme, The Columba 1400 Gemini Programme, which brings together young Columba 1400 graduates with leaders from corporates, industry, public and third sector organisations.
